Department of Human Development and Psychology

Master’s Degree

Department Introduction

The department is founded to inspire students to study different groups of humanity, explore life span development, from infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood to old age, and study the influence of psychological and sociocultural factors. Furthermore, students learn how people adapt to changes, from birth to death, under the influence of their innate heredity, genes, surrounding environment, and culture. After acquiring skills and knowledge, they are willing and capable of doing something to enhance people’s well-being.

The department offers both psychology and anthropology for students to study. By gaining skills and knowledge in these two fields, students can build their inter-disciplinary thinking and vision, cultivate broader and far-reaching perspectives, and implement these with humility and diligence.
