Department Introduction
The Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering combines engineering principles with biomedical sciences to assist students in engaging in the design and the construction of healthcare-related equipment, devices, and software.
The master’s program opened to the public in 2023, to prepare students to become biomedical engineers with multidisciplinary skills and knowledge in engineering and biomedicine.
The master’s program works with faculty members of the Departments of Physical Therapy and Medical Informatics and collaborates with Tzu Chi Medical Foundation’s healthcare professionals in clinical aspects.
We focus on biomedical engineering-related fields. Among them are biomaterials, tissue engineering, nanomaterials, biomechanics, biophotonics, biosensors, and bioinformatics.
We are committed to helping enhance the quality of medical treatment, diagnosis, and healthcare services. Moreover, we aim to equip students with multidisciplinary professional skills and knowledge in biomedical engineering, and assist them in playing their roles in the biomedical industry’s future development.
We welcome you with open arms to join our bachelor’s program.
